#303 Rafting trip down the Esso Bystraya River.
Duration of the trip: 6 days.
Season: 20 May – 20 September.
Lenth of the trip: 70 km.
The Bystraya river flows in central part of Kamchatka. It is one of the beautiful rivers of the peninsula. The width of the river in the rafting area is up to 25 – 50 m with current velocity of 2 mps and up to 6 on rapids. Water temperature rises up to 6 - 12°C. Class III to IV intensity of rapids. The river is home for salmon, wild ducks can be viewed from the boat. You can keep an eye on bears. Rafting 
starts from the national settlement Esso. This settlement is the capital of kamchatkan “Switzerland”, the region in central Kamchatka protected from winds by mountains, with dry climate and multiple thermal springs. The name “Esso” in native people language stands for a “Larch”. The settlement, one of the coziest in Kamchatka, lies in the old caldera of the 
ancient volcano at an altitude of 500 m. It is surrounded by the mountains covered by coniferous and deciduous forests. A tour to the settlement, in addition to its unique nature, will provide insight into the way of life and traditions of the Even people.

Arrival in Petropavlovsk. Transfer from the airport to Hotel. City tour including a visit to the local museum. Meeting with the guide and preparing for the trip. |

Drive to the national settlement Esso. (about500 km away). Relaxation and bathing in the hot thermal pool. |

Walk to the Even settlement Esso, the Museum of ethnography. Start of the rafting. |

Any changes to the program at your request will be considered along with the price adjustment.
Notes:
Tourists should have a backpack, waterproof plastic bag for personal things, sleeping bag, tent, mat, layered clothes, spare footwear, high boots (waders), sunscreen, mosquito repellent, flask, sun glasses, first aid set, personal care items, and fishing gear (for anglers). Anglers are required to apply in advance for a fishing license for additional fee. Overnights in tents while en route.
