#308 Trek to Golubye Ozera (Blue lakes).
Duration of the trip: 2 days.

Golubye ozera lie 30 km to the south-west of the town of Yelizovo at an altitude 900 m. Golubye ozera is a system of several lakes lying at various altitudes all connected by a small creek. The creek gives rise to the Polovinka River running downstream through Yelizovo town. The sunlight reflecting from the surface of crystal water and ground ice provides a unique natural phenomenon
of water blueness. Due to this, the flowers growing on lakesides are seems to be blue or purple. Tourists visiting the lakes in June or July will enjoy the abundance of the sub-alpine flora. Lake basin is home to ground squirrel and marmot (tarbagan). The walk ends at a mountain pass from which one can see the snow peaks of the oldest inactive Vachkazhets volcano and the beauty of lakes in the valley of the Levaya Bystraya and Gavanka rivers.

Trek to Moroznaya hill. Drive to Paratunka resort where you will be accommodated in a hotel. Relaxation and bathing in hot thermal pools. |
